The 2021.2 release includes encounter roles for mid-level providers and new COVID-19 diagnosis codes. In addition, all clients are being migrated from 3M GPS to 3M GPCS, the 3M cloud environment.

General Features

Mid-level provider encounter roles

We have expanded our physician role options to allow users to be able to select ‘Attending APP’ and/or ‘Consulting APP’ as a role for mid-level providers when running PPE reports and in Scorecards.

New COVID-19 codes

The following new COVID-19 diagnosis codes have been added:

• Encounter for screening for COVID-19

• Contact with and (suspected) exposure to COVID-19

• Personal history of COVID-19

• Multisystem inflammatory syndrome

• Other specified systemic involvement of connective tissue

• Pneumonia due to coronavirus disease 2019

3M GPCS

3M is requiring all clients move from GPS to GPCS, their cloud environment. No action is required on the part of Clinical Analytics users. All facility and schedule set-up has been migrated to the cloud by Syntellis. 3M processing for APR DRGs, PPRs and PPCs will continue to happen automatically with no user intervention. The main difference is that GPS was hosted by Syntellis while GPCS is hosted by 3M. All data continues to be transmitted securely.
